There are no quick fixes for realizing lasting change. Making significant change is a journey, not an event. Thus I'm not an advocate of one-shot weekend seminars or a one-time counseling session. When time is not allotted to thoughtfully ponder and apply new ideas, those ideas won't stick!
For ideas to infuse into action, Life must be observed and experienced between "small chunks" of learning enlightenment. The road to happiness is always under construction, this means that follow-up and reinforcement over time is the best way to facilitate lasting change.
The Journey
For this is the Journey that we make:.
To find ourselves. If we fail in this, it matters little
whatever else we may achieve: Money, Fame, Revenge.
When we end the Journey, we can put them all into
a bin marked “ashes” — they mean nothing.
But if one has found that he has within him
a divine soul, if he has discovered the principles
upon which the fulfillment of that soul is based, and
if he implements those principles, then he has a mansion
within which he can live with dignity
and joy each day of his life.

Sessions typically occur once a week, but can be scheduled more frequently to serve your needs. Again, new ideas internalize best as you allow life experience to happen between moments of learning new insights.
